MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. The Yak-130M combat training aircraft has been equipped with an active defense system against anti-aircraft missiles, which emits electronic jamming signals and releases heat decoys, Russia’s state tech corporation Rostec told reporters.

"The third Yak-130M prototype aircraft of our United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has recently successfully completed its maiden flight. Its integration will accelerate testing of the new aircraft. The first deliveries to customers are planned as early as 2028. The aircraft is equipped with the President-S130 onboard system," the statement said.

The system operates in three stages: it automatically detects the launch of an enemy missile, instantly jams the detection and guidance systems with electronic countermeasures, and then deploys special decoys to neutralize infrared and radar homing heads.

The Yak-130M is a modernized combat trainer based on the Yak-130 aircraft, featuring improved combat capabilities. The aircraft can engage ground and air targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles.
