BELGRADE, October 26. /TASS/. The opposition Student List is leading in Serbia’s snap parliamentary elections with 52.57% of the vote, while the United Serbia list backed by former President Aleksandar Vucic has received 39.27%, the Republic Electoral Commission reported after counting 96.47% of the voting records.

The remaining parties failed to clear the 3% electoral threshold. The Alliance of Vojvodina Hungarians will also be represented in the 250-seat National Assembly, Serbia’s unicameral parliament, as it is exempt from the requirement to reach that threshold.

On October 25, Vucic conceded defeat for his supporters in the election. He said the Student List would be able to form a parliamentary majority on its own.
