MOSCOW, October 7. /TASS/. A Solntsepyok heavy flamethrower system crew of Russia’s Battlegroup West has struck a concentration of Ukrainian troops near Krasny Liman, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"We received an order to destroy enemy personnel near Krasny Liman. The Ukrainian armed forces were preparing to rotate personnel or possibly launch some kind of counterattack. We moved in, completed the mission with minimal adjustments, and performed ‘excellently,’" the ministry quoted the commander of a special operations team of the 25th Combined Arms Army’s NBC Protection Unit with the call sign Zarya as saying.

He added that the flamethrower system’s primary targets are temporary deployment sites, UAV control posts, and enemy troops concentrations.

When the vehicle goes into position, electronic warfare and air defense units begin operating in its support to protect the Solntsepyok system from drone strikes.
