MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. Despite having different development models, BRICS nations advocate for equality and mutual respect, acting in solidarity to address pressing challenges and threats, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum.
The head of state noted that new centers of global governance - focal points for the reshaping of the world order - are currently emerging. According to Putin, BRICS plays a key role in this process; it is, in fact, the world’s largest association, covering one-third of the Earth’s landmass and encompassing leading nations from Eurasia, Latin America, the Middle East, and - notably - Africa, which is represented within the BRICS family by three member states.
"Within BRICS, diverse development models, religions, civilizations, and cultures coexist harmoniously. At the same time, all its members stand for equality, respect, friendship, and consensus. They act in solidarity to find solutions to acute challenges and threats, working to ensure global stability and security, as well as universal prosperity and well-being," Putin stated.
