MOSCOW, October 15. /TASS/. The harvesting campaign in Russia is close to the end and the yield will not be lower than in prior years, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at the Cabinet meeting.
"The harvesting campaign has ended on more than 90% of the planted areas. It is already seen the harvest will not be smaller than in prior years," the prime minister said.
The harvested yield will make it possible to saturate the domestic demand even with a surplus for certain foods, Mishustin noted.
Russia currently has the stable position evolved in the agricultural sector. It largely became possible owing to the established systemic work, including the operating mechanism of grain procurement and commodity interventions, the prime minister added.
