An 18-year-old worker died early this morning in a workplace accident at the waste storage and treatment facility in the locality of S'Infurcau, in the territory of Oniferi (Nuoro).
The dynamics of the accident are still unclear. According to initial information, Fabrizio Pittalis, originally from Orotelli, was struck on the head by the forks of a forklift operated by a colleague. When the emergency medical responders arrived, there was nothing more that could be done for the young man. The carabinieri of Ottana and the inspectors from the Spresal of the Nuoro Local Health Authority are investigating the accident.
