MOSCOW, September 23. /TASS/. India is coping with consequences of the United States’ aggression against Iran related to energy supplies with Moscow’s help, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko said.
"It has been possible to largely mitigate the harmful consequences of US aggression against Iran that led to global difficulties in energy trade, for our partners under the agreements reached with India," he said in an interview with News.ru portal. Russia "contributes to strengthening India’s energy security not only through stable supplies of domestic oil," Rudenko added.
The deputy foreign minister emphasized the peaceful use of nuclear energy. "The Kudankulam NPP being built by Russian specialists already provides Indian consumers with cheap and safe energy. We expect a new site to be allocated for the nuclear power plant designed by Russia," he said, adding that "partners are also showing interest in other areas of the peaceful use of nuclear energy."
