MOSCOW, October 28. /TASS/. PhosAgro increased its fertilizer shipments to Africa by 50% year-on-year in January-September and expects to double its total annual deliveries compared to 2025 levels, Sergey Pronin, the company’s First Deputy CEO, announced.
"In the first nine months of this year, we have already exceeded last year’s total shipment volume by 50%, having delivered over 1.3 million tonnes. By the end of 2026, we intend to double our shipments compared to the 2025 volume," Pronin told reporters at the Russia-Africa Forum.
He noted that last year, the company increased mineral fertilizer shipments to the African continent by one-third, with total exports reaching nearly 1 million tonnes - more than double the volume recorded in 2021.
South Africa, Ethiopia, and Mozambique became top three importers of PhosAgro's products on the continent. Overall, in the first half of 2026, the company accounted for 61% of the total volume of all types of Russian mineral fertilizers exported to Africa.
