Argentina is preparing for the 2026 World Cup final against Spain, scheduled at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and to mark the anticipation ahead of kick-off, at exactly midnight, Argentina's main television networks broadcast a special version of the national anthem sung by the players of Lionel Scaloni's squad, replacing the traditional recording.
The initiative, promoted by the company Torneos together with the country's free-to-air and sports channels, aired simultaneously across all networks exactly 16 hours before the match. The goal was to generate a sense of unity and motivate fans, recalling the enthusiasm that had preceded the victory in Qatar in 2022.
In the hours leading up to the game, Argentine streets are bustling with preparations to watch the event, with flags, family gatherings and special broadcasts live from the United States.
