GENEVA, October 7. /TASS/. Russia’s national football team has retained 35th place in the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) rankings, according to the updated standings published on the organization’s website on Wednesday.
During the recent international break, Valery Karpin’s side played three friendly matches, defeating Iran 2-0 and Namibia 6-0 and drawing 3-3 with Nigeria.
Spain remains at the top of the rankings, followed by Argentina in second place and France in third. The top 10 also includes England, Portugal, Brazil, Morocco, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Mexico.
