VIENNA, October 7. /TASS/. Western countries should not be surprised if fuel prices rise after Kiev carries out its plans to block Russian shipping in the Black and Azov Seas, Yulia Zhdanova, head of the Russian delegation to the Vienna negotiations on military security and arms control, said.

Zhdanova said Kiev has stepped up efforts to block Russian shipping in the Black and Azov Seas at the urging of its Western handlers. These measures include attacks on port infrastructure. She added these actions were aimed at disrupting Russian hydrocarbon export logistics and the transportation of civilian cargo.

"Do not be surprised later if these actions result in higher fuel prices not only on international markets but also in your countries," the envoy told her colleagues at a meeting of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation in Vienna.
