MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Russia’s presidential aide for foreign policy affairs, Yury Ushakov, has highlighted the tremendous pace of development of the African continent.
"It is worth noting, in particular, that Africa is currently one of the most dynamically developing regions," Ushakov told the media. He pointed out that, according to the African Development Bank, the average economic growth rate for nations on the continent stands at 4.2% - a figure that exceeds the global average. More than half of the world’s 20 fastest-growing economies are in Africa.
"It is no coincidence that Africa is called the 'continent of the future.' UN projections indicate that, starting in 2030, the center of global demographic growth will shift to Africa; by 2050, its population is expected to exceed 2.5 billion, with young people under the age of 30 accounting for approximately 70% of that total," the Kremlin official added.
