MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. The trade turnover between Russia and African nations was above $27 bln in 2025 and increased by 1.5 times since 2023, Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov told reporters.
"The Russian trade turnover with African countries exceeded $27 bln last year. It means this indicator increased by 1.5 times from our previous summit in St. Petersburg, which was held in 2023. Dynamics is good but actions could have been even more efficient," Ushakov said.
Russia has 22 bilateral intergovernmental commissions with African countries, the diplomat noted. "This is quite a lot," Ushakov added.
Russia sent more than 18 mln metric tons of grain to Africa last year and 13 mln metric tons more were shipped during the nine months of this year, he said.
"In 2025, we shipped over 18 mln tons of grain to Africa, and 13 mln [tons] more during the first nine months of this year," Ushakov said.
