The emission of lava ash from the summit craters of Etna continues, as does the flight ban at Catania, which has been extended until 2:30 p.m. today due to the closure of two airspaces, C1 and B3, around the volcano. This was announced by SAC, the company that manages the airport, specifying that "the suspension of flight operations arriving and departing from Catania airport continues until 2:30 p.m."
SAC is urging passengers to check the status of their flight with airlines before heading to the airport.
