Queensland government spends $50 million on advertising in 2025/26 financial year
In short:
Parliamentary budget estimates revealed the LNP administration spent more than $5 million on a statewide campaign on what it is delivering for Queensland.
It's drawn criticism from the opposition for both the prevalence and colour scheme, accusing the government of blue-washing Queensland's traditional maroon.
An estimated $48.8 million was spent on advertising last financial year in total, compared to $50.7 million spent in the 2023/24 financial year by Labor.
