Searches and seizures were carried out against four very young individuals who were manufacturing Molotov cocktails. The measure, issued by the Pesaro Public Prosecutor's Office, was executed by the Carabinieri of the investigative unit of the Pesaro and Urbino provincial command, with the assistance of the territorially competent commands. Investigations coordinated by the Pesaro Public Prosecutor's Office led to the four very young suspects — two of whom are residents in the provinces of Rimini and Bologna — following a series of on-the-ground and social media investigations.
It thus emerged that around February 2026 the four allegedly "produced several incendiary bottles of the 'Molotov' type, whose offensive potential was subsequently tested in Pesaro inside an abandoned industrial warehouse, causing multiple combustion and deflagration events."
The Carabinieri also seized tablets, computers and smartphones used by the suspects, which will be subjected to analysis. Paper material was also found containing, among other things, instructions for making and using incendiary devices.
"The suspects, for whom the presumption of innocence nonetheless applies, are believed to be close to local collectives composed of students and individuals linked to antagonist milieus." Further investigations are ongoing, the Carabinieri's statement concludes, "to determine whether the conduct described can be attributed to a mere preparatory act aimed at gaining greater credibility within the antagonist galaxy, or whether it was indicative of the preparation of demonstrative actions as part of a broader strategy."
