From the Diaz school, a procession has just set off to mark the 25th anniversary of the No Global protests at the Genoa G8, the killing of Carlo Giuliani, and the police violence against demonstrators who were sleeping at the Diaz school and in the Bolzaneto barracks. In the Ligurian capital, several initiatives and mobilisations are being held in memory of those events, the victims, and the justice that was never served.
From Piazza Alimonda, the national march "Nessun rimorso" ("No Remorse"), promoted by Genova Antifascista, brings together various groups: activists, social centres, associations, and committees. The march starts from Piazza Alimonda and ends at Piazza De Ferrari, with a pre-march departing from the Diaz school and also arriving at Piazza Alimonda. Tomorrow, a vigil titled "Per non dimentiCarlo" ("So as not to forgetCarlo") is scheduled at Piazza Alimonda. Finally, on the 21st, there will be a torchlight procession from Piazza Tommaseo to the Diaz school.
