Norberto Marcos grew tired of Fátima Florez's accusations and came out swinging to respond to his ex-partner.
The theatrical producer was visibly upset by the comedian's statements on La mañana con Moria (El Trece), where she provided details about the legal dispute they have maintained since their breakup.
"They want to take away the house where I live, my house where I live, please. I've been working since I was 17, nobody gave me anything, everything cost me a great deal. Everything cost me a lot," Fátima said, in tears, speaking about Marcos, with whom she was in a relationship for 22 years, and who also served as her artistic manager.
The relationship between Fátima and Marcos ended four years ago, and since then they have been locked in legal and media conflict.
Following the comedian's statements — as she is currently filling in for Moria Casán hosting her program — the theatrical producer requested the opportunity to speak and clarified his point of view, primarily regarding the accusation that he wants to keep the house where his ex-partner currently lives.
"It's not her house, it's our house. We both lived there. We didn't reach any agreement, because I left the house thinking I'd be back within a week, and from that point on I was unable to speak with her anymore," Marcos stated, noting that with Fátima "I can't reach an agreement because she won't talk to me."
"It's impossible. I've invited her a thousand times to have a coffee just the two of us, but it's impossible. I think the main reason is that she can't look me in the eyes," he said firmly, in an interview with the program Primicias Ya (América TV), clarifying that in addition to the division of assets, he is seeking financial compensation because "the things we bought together are being used — both artistic and material things."
He also noted that "there isn't that much to divide."
Regarding the accusation that he manages her money, he stated: "That's a lie, we both managed the money. Her secretary, who was my secretary at the time, handled everything."
"The split should be fifty-fifty, logically. That's how it should be, but it isn't," Marcos said about the legal dispute with his ex, placing the blame on Ana Rosenfeld, the comedian's lawyer, for the fact that the two parties have still been unable to reach an agreement.
"It's not just a division of assets, there are emotional conflicts involved. I thought I had a family, that I was going to die in my home, that I had a woman who had my back..." Marcos lamented, his voice breaking.
He also maintained that since the separation he never returned to the home he shared with Fátima, and that it was only a month ago that she returned his personal belongings "because the tarot reader she has told her that the things had bad energy — otherwise she wouldn't have returned them."
