GENICHESK, September 18. /TASS/. The first day of the main voting period in the Kherson Region was busy, with large numbers of voters turning out, and went "excellently," regional Election Commission Chairwoman Marina Zakharova said at a briefing.
"The first day of voting in the State Duma elections in the Kherson Region was indeed very busy, with a large number of voters at polling stations, so overall we believe the electoral process deserves an 'excellent' rating," she said.
No violations or complaints were recorded, Zakharova said. "No violations by election organizers were identified, and the election commission received no complaints," she noted.
Zakharova stressed that the electoral process proceeded as normal.
