A 25-year-old Italian national, Mohamed Amin Bessioud, of Tunisian origin, died after throwing himself from the balcony of the apartment where he resided, on the third floor of a building in Cosenza. At the time of the incident, a search was being carried out inside the dwelling by Carabinieri officers. The young man was under house arrest. The officers were conducting a check on compliance with the obligation. The Cosenza Public Prosecutor's Office has opened a case file on the matter.
