"Thanks to the Law Enforcement agencies for the rapid capture of this murderer. Now let him go to prison in his own country, not here at Italian taxpayers' expense."
This is how Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Matteo Salvini commented on the arrest for the murder from Eboli in a post on X, which reads: "A breakthrough in the investigation. The murderer of journalist Luca Esposito is an illegal Tunisian. The man was hiding in an abandoned farmhouse."
"It is now urgent," Salvini writes, "that, as the Lega has been proposing for some time, thousands of soldiers be deployed to protect our cities. No law-abiding person can be afraid of having uniformed men and women everywhere."
