WASHINGTON, October 21. /TASS/. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio described yesterday’s talks in Oslo between US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky as positive.
"My understanding from what information he provided to me and the readout I got from it is that it was positive. Nothing unexpected, nothing surprising," Rubio, currently on a visit to India, told reporters, according to the Indian news website Firstpost.
Sharing his expectations ahead of Witkoff’s upcoming talks in St. Petersburg, the top US diplomat said those will show if some progress toward resolving the conflict can be made. "But as I said, these things are complex, and if this was an easy war to solve, it would’ve been solved a long time ago," he argued.
