The board of directors of Merlin Properties has unanimously approved the co-optation appointment of Miguel Oñate Rino as executive director, and he will serve as the new corporate chief executive officer starting August 1, 2026, following a favourable report from the Appointments and Remuneration Committee.
The SOCIMI communicated this to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), specifying that Oñate Rino will exercise, as corporate chief executive officer, the responsibilities inherent to said position, as well as any ancillary or necessary duties for its performance.
The company noted that the new director, who garnered the full consensus of the company's highest governing body, has formally accepted his positions after being appointed by the SOCIMI's board.
In its most recent results published on May 13 and corresponding to the first quarter of 2026, the company recorded a recurring profit (FFO) of 87.4 million euros, 3.9% more than a year ago. It also increased its gross rental income by 10.3% to 146 million euros.
