With the award to Riccardo Cocciante, the grand finale of the 24th edition of the Ischia Global Film & Music Festival was celebrated. On the stage at the Bay of Regina Isabella, alongside producer Pascal Vicedomini, the guests were welcomed by the honorary presidents of the Accademia Internazionale Arte Ischia, Trudie Styler and Tony Renis, together with Academy Award-winning chairman Alessandro Bertolazzi. A standing ovation for Riccardo Cocciante, who treated the audience — with director Jim Sheridan and Academy Award-winning actor Cuba Gooding Jr. in the front row — to an heartfelt tribute to Gino Paoli ("Il cielo in una stanza") and an exhilarating improvisation with American singer Nicole Slack Jones. It was Tony Renis who presented the award to the musician.
A celebration also took place in Casamicciola's main square, where the musician introduced the screening of the documentary "Il mio nome è Riccardo Cocciante," produced by Raffaella Tommasi for Daimon Film in collaboration with Rai Documentari, directed by Stefano Salvati. The evening, featuring the participation of Anna Falchi, concluded with a tribute to the recently deceased legendary music producer Clive Davis; professor Valter Longo and producer Chiara Tilesi were also honored.
