Inquest hears person of interest in Marilyn Wallman case was 'hauling coal' on day she went missing

In short:

A coronial inquest has heard that a person of interest in Marilyn Wallman's disappearance, Noel Morris, was seen working at a coalmine when she went missing on March 21, 1972, in Mackay.

Mr Morris's uncle, Barry Morris, said he remembered seeing Noel twice that day at the Goonyella coalmine, around 145 kilometres from where Marilyn disappeared.

The court heard that Noel's wife, Ann Morris, had given birth to their daughter, Jodie, five days prior and was staying in Mackay at the time.
