The Italian venture capital fund Italian Founders Fund has completed its final closing at over 100 million euros, against an initial fundraising target of 60 million. This is according to a statement noting that "in just two years of operation, the fund has exceeded both its fundraising and investment targets." IFF was born from the initiative of over one hundred founders, entrepreneurs and key players in the innovation ecosystem — including Luca Ferrari (Bending Spoons), Riccardo Zacconi (King.com), Marcello Ascani (Flatmates Agency), Enrico Giacomelli (Namirial) and Paolo De Nadai (WeRoad) — with the aim of making capital, expertise and networks available to support the development of new technology companies.

Operational since November 2023 with an initial target of approximately 25 planned transactions, the fund has already invested over 40 million euros, surpassing its original objectives ahead of schedule. The effectiveness of the fund's investment strategy is confirmed above all by the 32 startups in its portfolio, which include some of the fastest-growing startups at the moment: companies such as JetHR, Compri, Brum, Pillar and Complaion, as well as Sava, Cato and ReportAid. During a period of enormous transformation such as the one we are experiencing thanks to AI and Robotics, IFF has invested in a range of solutions: from the management of everything related to employees to financial management and compliance, from access to and management of public procurement to skills assessment, through to health monitoring technologies. These are just some of the new companies helping to expand the boundaries of Italian innovation, bringing advanced expertise and solutions to citizens and businesses of every sector and size. Together, these startups have created more than 1,000 jobs and thousands of customers.
