MEXICO, September 25. /TASS/. The government of Colombia has made the decision to sever diplomatic ties with Iran, accusing Tehran of "presumed ties to international terrorist groups."
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on behalf of the Government of Colombia, announces that <…> it has formally severed diplomatic relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran," reads a statement, published by the country’s Foreign Ministry.
The decision was made "taking into account the Iranian government’s presumed ties to international terrorist groups and other narco-terrorist organizations that threaten the country’s security."
