LUGANSK, September 28. /TASS/. Over the past week, the Ukrainian armed forces’ losses in killed and wounded, including foreign mercenaries, in combat in the special military operation area amounted to over 9,440, military expert Andrey Marochko reported.
According to him, fighters of Russia’s Battlegroup Center inflicted the greatest damage on the enemy.
"The enemy’s sanitary and irreplaceable losses totaled about 9,440 Ukrainian militants and mercenaries - 115 more than in the previous reporting period. The greatest losses in manpower were inflicted on Ukrainian armed formations in the area of responsibility of the Battlegroup Center operating in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR)," he wrote on his VKontakte social media page after analyzing data released by the Russian Defense Ministry.
Marochko added that last week, the Russian military also destroyed about 6,000 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles, 18 marine vessels, 49 field artillery guns, 33 electronic warfare and counter-battery stations, as well as over 600 enemy motor vehicles.
