"It is not my understanding" that the government will resort to tobacco excise duties to finance the decree against high fuel prices expected this afternoon in the Council of Ministers, "and in any case I am against it." This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure Matteo Salvini, upon leaving Palazzo Chigi. The Lega leader did not elaborate on the amount of resources allocated for the decree: "The other ministers are working on it."
