Malaysian medical body raises alarm over high doctor ‘no-show’ rate in Sabah, Sarawak

The Malaysian Medical Association is calling for allowances and incentives to attract and retain healthcare workers in the Bornean states

The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) has expressed concern over reports of high “no-show” rates among medical officers assigned to permanent postings in Sabah and Sarawak.

MMA president Sivanaesan Letchumanan pointed to reports which said that a number of medical officers failed to report for their permanent postings on Monday.
