DOHA, October 31. /TASS/. Iran has agreed during negotiations to shorten the timeframe for implementing its plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to two days, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told Al Jazeera.

"We have reached a proposal at this stage that reduces the implementation period to two days," Araghchi said.

He noted that Iran demands recognition of the shipping route in the Strait of Hormuz that it had discussed with Oman, and the closure of other ones.

"Reopening the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with our conditions paves the way for the resumption of negotiations with Washington regarding outstanding issues," he added.
