A major event, preceded by a mega party. Gigi Donnarumma, goalkeeper for the Italian national team and Manchester City, is getting married: everything is ready in Locorotondo, a municipality in the province of Bari that has been on lockdown for days for the wedding of the player to his long-time girlfriend Alessia Elefante. The couple, already parents of little Leo born in September 2024, will exchange vows in the afternoon at the church of San Giorgio Martire and then move to Fasano for the reception at the Pettolecchia estate. In recent days, Donnarumma had been spotted in Francavilla Fontana visiting a well-known local tailor for his suit fitting. Meanwhile, the eve of the big day was marked by a grand party: to the notes of 'Più bella cosa non c'è', dressed in total white and standing beneath a luminous arch bearing their names, the two soon-to-be spouses led a karaoke rendition of the famous Eros Ramazzotti song. Everything is being kept highly secretive regarding the wedding, although the guest list, judging by what is circulating on social media, reads like a red carpet of international football. Former national team and PSG teammates could be arriving in the Apulian town, with Paris manager Luis Enrique also being mentioned, as well as several Manchester City players, including Erling Haaland, who is already on holiday in Italy following the World Cup with Norway. Some are even venturing to suggest the presence of Pep Guardiola, the Catalan manager who recently turned down the Italy national team coaching job.
