WASHINGTON, September 17. /TASS/. Although the vote is still ongoing, the bill to toughen anti-Russian sanctions has already gathered enough votes to be adopted by the House of Representatives of the US Congress.
During the vote, aired by the C-SPAN television channel, 217 members of the Republican-controlled House of Representatives, have voted in favor, while 136 were against.
The Republican-controlled Senate approved the document on August 7.
