A fatal accident occurred on the A10 motorway between Finale Ligure and Pietra Ligure, in the direction of Ventimiglia. According to an initial reconstruction, a refrigerated van overturned in the middle of the carriageway after rear-ending a car. Emergency vehicles were dispatched to the scene by the 118 emergency service, along with the medical car, the traffic police, the fire brigade and Autostrade personnel. The two people injured, both slightly, were taken to the Santa Corona hospital in Pietra Ligure. The stretch of motorway was closed and ten kilometres of queues were recorded. Disruption is also reported on the Via Aurelia, with long tailbacks from Finale towards Ponente.
