MOSCOW, October 29. /TASS/. The Sukhoi Su-57 fighter jet has high modernization potential, which allows for the development of variants of the base aircraft, Mikhail Strelets, director of the Sukhoi Design Bureau, said in an interview published by the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec).
"The Su-57 platform has high modernization potential, enabling both the creation of variants of the base aircraft (two-seat combat trainer, ship-borne, unmanned) and the use of off-the-shelf components and individual assemblies to create a light tactical aircraft," he said.
Strelets emphasized that the platform is modular and enables the development of a scientific and technical foundation for adapting the aircraft system components featuring a new level of technical characteristics.
