The Chamber's Committee on Authorizations to Proceed has voted against the request by Rome prosecutors to acquire the chat messages between Andrea Delmastro and restaurateur Mauro Caroccia. This is what is learned from parliamentary sources.
Following the committee's vote, the matter passes to the full Chamber of Deputies, which will issue the final verdict.
Five Star Movement (M5S) senators occupied the government benches in the Senate to protest against the decision by the Chamber's authorizations committee not to grant authorization regarding the chat messages of Undersecretary Andrea Delmastro. The parliamentarians protested holding signs reading 'Release the chats', and the acting president Mariolina Castellone suspended the session.
