MOSCOW, October 22. /TASS/. The volume of imported gasoline on Russia’s domestic market remains insignificant, and demand for it is declining, the Russian Energy Ministry told reporters.

"The Energy Ministry reports that the volume of imported gasoline on the Russian domestic market remains insignificant, and demand for it is declining," the ministry said, commenting on reports of a possible increase in motor fuel prices due to import costs.

The ministry added that the volume of imported gasoline on Russia’s domestic market remains insignificant and cannot have a substantial impact on its average price.

At the same time, Russia’s domestic fuel market is seeing increased supplies as oil refineries resume operations following maintenance and seasonal consumption declines, putting downward pressure on prices, the ministry told reporters.
