"Atalanta club: all year long between membership cards, bans and restrictions... Even in summer, what a pain in the a**." A protest banner was put up in Bergamo in front of the stadium by Atalanta supporters, all affiliated with the Curva Nord, who for years have refused to sign up for the so-called fan card – the Dea Card. The reasons behind it are the access bans, actually applying to everyone and not just Dea Card holders, to the pre-season matches of Maurizio Sarri's team.
Not only in Rotterdam on the upcoming August 2nd against Feyenoord and in Gelsenkirchen against Schalke 04 on the 9th, where local authorities have imposed an away fan ban, but also at the home training ground in Zingonia, the day before yesterday against Mantova and Sunday evening against Arezzo, for logistical and organisational reasons put forward by the Nerazzurri club. On Viale Giulio Cesare, on the pavement opposite the Tribuna Rinascimento, between four trees and a vertical road sign, a long horizontal piece of fabric was tied up this morning, written in block capital letters, with the first two words in red and the rest in black.
