PYONGYANG, September 24. /TASS/. North Korea does not intend to give up its nuclear weapons regardless of the position of the United States and its allies, North Korean Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui said, commenting on the results of a trilateral meeting between the foreign ministers of the US, Japan and South Korea.
"As North Korea’s Foreign Minister, I once again resolutely express and reaffirm our state’s unwavering commitment to possessing nuclear weapons. This commitment will remain unchanged and irreversible under any circumstances," she said in a statement carried by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
Choe Son Hui noted that Washington, Tokyo and Seoul had once again reaffirmed their commitment to the denuclearization of North Korea in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions. According to the foreign minister, this shows that the three countries have maintained their previous approach toward Pyongyang.
