MOSCOW, September 18. /TASS/. Russia's updated state arms program takes into account global trends and the country's experience of the special military operation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Military-Industrial Commission.

"The main directions of the new state arms program were defined taking into account the development of the global situation and the experience of the special military operation, as well as the global trends in the development of military technologies," the supreme commander said.

The Russian army and other structures must be ready to respond quickly and effectively to potential external threats, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Military-Industrial Commission.

"They will become the basis for the development and mass production of modern weapons and equipment to equip our army and other law-enforcement and security agencies so that they are ready to respond quickly and effectively to potential external threats," the head of state said.
