Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday.

Business reporter Adelaide Miller here to guide you through the morning on the markets blog, where we cover the latest business, finance and economics stories from across the globe.

To start, the ASX 200 is set to open higher, with Futures up +0.3% to 8,750 points.

That's following gains on Wall Street, as all major exchanges finished in the green on Monday afternoon.

On the agenda today is the October consumer confidence index released by Westpac. We will bring you the data at about 10:30am.
