This is stated by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, commenting on the controversy surrounding Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni's announcement of a measure that will establish a cap on foreign students in classrooms.
"In recent days," the minister Valditara further emphasizes, "we have witnessed a CGIL that tried to boycott free health insurance for 1,200,000 school workers, with a campaign that the other major unions described, in their own words, as 'disinformation.' We also witnessed a left-wing union that criticized the extension of health insurance to Ministry workers as well. And today we are witnessing a curious controversy from opposition political figures, led by the PD and AVS, who seem to have nostalgia for 1950s Alabama and ghetto classrooms."
