"We are awaiting a decision. I hope this family can be reunited as soon as possible."

These are the words of Simone Pillon, lawyer for the 'family in the woods', ahead of the decision by the L'Aquila Juvenile Court, which today began its deliberations to decide on the possible reunification of the three children with their parents. Last July 20th, the parties' briefs were filed, while on June 25th the lawyer submitted the request to reunite the family.

"Typically, the deliberations in L'Aquila have been held on Thursdays, so it may be that the Court is deciding at this very moment," the lawyer added. "I believe it will be a detailed order given the volume of evidence and new elements to be examined, and I cannot make predictions about the timing or the outcome. I have done what I needed to do professionally, providing those who will make the decision with highly significant elements. The parents, for their part, have confirmed their every commitment through their actions. I am optimistic by nature."
