MOSCOW, October 5. /TASS/. The eight meeting of the Moscow format of consultations on Afghanistan will take part in the Russian capital on Monday.
The meeting attendees will discuss the situation in Afghanistan and around it, including the conflict between Kabul and Islamabad.
Special envoys and senior officials from Afghanistan, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will take part in the event. Delegations from Belarus and Egypt are invited as the guests.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will deliver a welcoming speech for format participants. The meeting attendees are expected to approve a joint statement in conclusion of the event.
