MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. The sovereignty of one nation cannot be ensured at the expense of other countries, including in the energy industry, Russian President Vladimir Putin said, commenting on speeches made at the summit of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries.
"You said that the energy security of one country cannot be ensured at the expense of other countries. Absolutely," Putin said, commenting on a speech from Mozambican President Daniel Chapo.
This is a key point, he said.
"And I would add that also all energy sovereignty, and sovereignty in general in the broad sense of the word, in the literal sense of the word, cannot and should not be provided by one country at the expense of other countries. That's for sure," the Russian president added.
He noted that states "should create these bridges among themselves to establish cooperation and a common understanding of how to move forward. This bridge will certainly be very strong, and it is in demand today, taking into account the events that we are witnessing in the world.".
