In the list of those called up for Roberto Mancini's national team, the name of Diana Bianchedi appears for the first time. The acting vice president of CONI, who has formalised her relationship with the FIGC, now officially holds the role of head of the Azzurri delegation after leaving her position at the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation.
Bianchedi, who is still awaiting ANAC's opinion on her dual role with CONI, had announced to the Board on Tuesday the imminent gathering of the national team, emphasising how, in requesting the intervention of the anti-corruption authority, the Olympic Committee had already underlined that an initial assessment had not revealed any obvious profiles of incompatibility or violations of the Statute. The former Olympic fencer accepted the Football Federation's proposal, while fully respecting whatever ANAC will decide.
