Xi and Trump cap summit with a tour through shared US and Chinese history
The presidents and their wives get a personal view of the National Archives and the documents that define the American system
After morning tea in the White House Red Room, US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania will take Xi and his wife Peng Liyuan on a tour of the National Archives, the home of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and other texts that established the basis of the US government.
According to the Office of the First Lady, the two couples will also “view a variety of important records and documents significant to the American and Chinese relationship throughout history”.
