WASHINGTON, October 18. /TASS/. Ukraine does not currently have access to the Starshield satellite communications system, and the matter is under discussion, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday.
"Starlink is a commercial product and it's regulated and handled as a commercial product. Starshield is a defense product, a military product, and as I said, I mean that that is something that we have and the United States military uses. It's not at this moment available to Ukraine, and that's under conversation. It's under discussion right now of how they would want to use it," he told reporters before flying to Uzbekistan.
According to the secretary of state, Ukraine "asked for access to it in order to conduct deep strikes inside Russia." "They do not have access to it at this moment," he emphasized.
