Cloe Piccoli is the new artistic director of miart, the international modern and contemporary art event held every year in Milan. She was appointed for the three-year term 2027-2029 by Fiera Milano as part of "the development path through which it intends to accompany the evolution of miart, drawing on the wealth of relationships, expertise and credibility built over time together with galleries, collectors, institutions, partners and all the key players in the art world."

"The appointment of Cloe Piccoli represents a strategic choice that reflects Fiera Milano's repositioning path," said Francesco Conci, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Fiera Milano. "We want to invest in miart not only as a benchmark event for the contemporary art market, but as a platform capable of generating cultural, relational and reputational value throughout the year. We believe that today a fair must be much more than an event: it must create connections, produce content and contribute to the development of the ecosystems in which it operates. In this vision, miart becomes one of the projects through which we strengthen Fiera Milano's Brand Equity and its international positioning, while at the same time helping to establish Milan as the European capital of creativity, innovation and culture."

Cloe Piccoli is a lecturer in contemporary art at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. She writes about art, architecture and design. As a curator she has carried out projects and exhibitions for some of the leading international institutions, including the Ministry of Culture (MiC), Maxxi Roma, Museo del Novecento, Triennale Milano, Centre Pompidou Metz, Sosa Gallery and Manchester University. She has also developed cultural projects for international luxury brands.

"The goal is to create an inclusive platform that combines culture and the market, channelling energies to enhance miart's identity in dialogue with the city of Milan and its international reach," said the newly appointed director. "I will work to build a network capable of activating new cultural initiatives and new relationships between the public and private sectors."
