MOSCOW, October 19. /TASS/. Russia’s Kalashnikov Group has delivered a batch of 9M333 anti-aircraft missiles to the customer earlier than planned, the company told TASS.
"The Kalashnikov Group has successfully delivered another batch of 9M333 anti-aircraft missiles to the customer. As part of meeting its 2026 obligations, the products are being supplied ahead of schedule. It is important to note that these products remain in consistently high demand due to their effective performance in the special military operation zone," the company said in a statement.
The anti-aircraft missile is deployed by the Strela-10 air defense missile system and its versions. Over the past few years, the 9M333 has demonstrated its effectiveness in combat operations.
The missile is designed to hit aerial targets at any time of day under conditions involving the use of dropped, parachuted and modulated organized optical countermeasures, including remotely piloted aircraft and cruise missiles. The missile’s homing head has three operating modes: photo-contrast, infrared, and jam-resistant, giving it a key advantage over other products in this class. The missile’s average speed is 550 m/s, and it can strike targets at altitudes ranging from 10 to 3,500 meters. The munition operates on a fire-and-forget principle.
